Osborn M Hart enlisted to serve in the United States Army during World War II He had one child with Agnes Butcher, of Saxman, Nicholas County, West Virginia. Saxman is 3.5 miles west-southwest of Richwood. It has ceased existing totally. The Saxman post office is also gone. Agnes Butcher was a sort of maid for a wealthy family in Richwood W.Va.

Surviving: daughter, Ann Lawrence of Vienna; sister, Mary Westfall of Cowen; half sister, Eva Davis of Sutton; half brother, George Jackson of Richwood; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild Service was held at Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood West Virginia, with the Rev. Phyllis Bowling officiating.
